The Central Jakarta Water Resources Sub-agency (SDA) is carrying out repairs to the sheet pile wall of the connecting channel on Jalan Rawasari Selatan, RT 15/09, Rawasari Urban Village, Cempaka Putih. It is targeted for completion by mid-March.

If it is ignored, the condition will get worse

Cempaka Putih Sub-district SDA Executing Unit Head, Subandi said the sheet pile was repaired, as some of the sheet pile walls were damaged and were prone to collapse.

"If it is ignored, the condition will get worse," he said, Saturday (2/17)

He explained the channel has two meters wide with one meter high. The repaired portion of the sheet pile reached 100 meters in length.

Personnel would also drain the channel, as the mud and garbage had reached 15-20 centimeters.

"The work involves 20 personnel every day. It has been ongoing since Friday," he expressed.

It will take one month ahead.

The work received appreciation from one of the residents from RW 09, Rawasari Urban Village, Ardi.

Hopefully, it could accommodate water in large quantities and anticipate inundation.

"That's right, don't wait until it collapses before repairing it. Hopefully, it can be completed soon," he stated.
